The Organized Life: What To Do With Shoes

I think it’s safe to say that the one daily essential I can never get enough of, is shoes. In addition, being a true girly girl also means that I have quite the selection. From flats to high heels then multiplied by almost every color… you can see why finding a place for all of my pairs is so important to me. So below are a few tips that I have put together that can hopefully help your shoe organization too!

1. Use bookcases or shelves to hold all of your pairs. The best part about this method is that you can actually see each pair that you own since they are off of the floor!

2. For shoes of all shapes and sizes it is sometimes easier to place each pair in to it’s own shoe box. Then take a photo of each pair and stick the image on to the outside of the corresponding box so you can still tell which pair is which! *Tip: Finding a box size that can fit each pair is key. So be sure to stop by a place like The Container Store that has a wide variety of box sizes.

3. Don’t be afraid to be creative when it comes to organizing your shoes! From place mats to refurbished crates, it’s the creation of space and order for your shoes that is most important here.

I know shoes are not the most exciting thing to organize. But having a space for your shoes helps avoid clutter on the floor and is a huge relief when it is all said and done. So just take a few minutes to soak all of these tips in and happy shoe organizing!
