Real Wedding Wednesday: Westbury Manor Ethereal Garden Escapade

Today’s Real Wedding finds us at Westbury Manor in Long Island, New York, where Rachel and Charles (Cap) exchange vows surrounded by sophisticated foliage of the venue’s outdoor garden. Throughout the ceremony, rich shades of greenery juxtapose tastefully with its classical counterpart in white, but not without subtle tweaks to the traditional palette that make this wedding all the more intimate! Additional hues of blush and airy blues leave the couple and loved ones faces fresh and absolutely aglow against the landscape’s outstanding elegance! Of course, none of this would be visible to us without the lovely Cadence Kennedy, who expertly captured moments from this eventful escapade to leave us in silent awe and satisfaction.

We’d like to thank all of our fellow vendors who participated and contributed their expertise to bring this wedding to life! It was great fun working with everyone, and we look forward to future collaborations!

Real Wedding Wednesday: D.C. Gallery Romantic Autumn Reverie

Julie and Forrest looked as if they’d stepped straight off the set of this season’s top romance movie as they strolled through serene surroundings in the capital city. Elements of their ornately-planned party are lavished in a rich palette of blush and wine, accented with an occasional pop of pine green and glimmers of gold. These colors fit refreshingly into the cozy fall colors of the open outdoors, but stood out elegantly against the candle-lit indoor ceremony and reception area at the LongView Gallery, an industrial art gallery that every now and then hosted such unique events. All credit and kudos of documentation goes to the photographer of this wedding, Eric Kelley – such beautifully-captured images most assuredly requires a public audience!

We’d also like to shower praises on each of our fellow vendors for extraordinary workmanship and team spirit! This wedding embodies a rich quality of timelessness that leaves one in silent awe, and we couldn’t have made it without all of you!

Real Wedding Wednesday: Erica & John

If you’re planning a Charlottesville wedding, Pippin Hill Farm is THE location! We’re always in awe of the photos from this vineyard. Erica and John’s wedding, captured by the amazing Rachel May Photography, is no exception! We love the super classy barn (can you even call it a barn?) and breath-taking views. This couple is also a stunning duo, and they were such a joy to work with. We’re sure Amore Events by Cody had just as much fun working with this darling pair to plan the big day as our Patchettes did. Congrats to Erica and John!

Pretty in Pastel Pink

Pink is certainly the “it” color right now! From fashion to weddings, everything is pretty in pastel pink. It’s literally flooding our feeds. Not that we’re complaining! Who doesn’t love a pretty pink planner? Or, a blush wedding palette? It’s a classic and flattering color, making it a great pick for any bride. This trend is likely a result of Pantone naming rose quartz as one of their Colors of the Year, meaning this trend is likely to stick too! If you’re thinking pink, here’s some inspiration that we love:

An Elegant Garden Editorial

This editorial project is one that we’re extremely proud of! There’s almost no words to describe the photos from that day at The National Cathedral School in DC. They’re simply enchanted! Margo of Bright Occasions really out did herself on this wedding inspiration shoot, and she perfectly matched the look of our pretty paper. Photographer Bonnie Sen Photography did a fabulous job of capturing every detail too, from the piano to that pear-cut ring. To see more of her flawless shots, you can find this elegant garden editorial featured on OnceWed

A Botanical Blush Editorial

What’s not to love about blush peonies and a pear-cut engagement ring? Seriously! We’re so proud of this understated and timeless wedding look from our styled shoot this summer. From the vintage stamps to the pink macaroons, our pretty paper has never looked better! Our dear friend and photographer Astrid helped us to capture every angle of our invitations, and we couldn’t be happier. We also had the pleasure of partnering with planner Kaitlin Przezdziecki of Cheers Darling Events on this editorial feature at the Salamander Resort in charming Middleburg, Virginia. We can’t thank her enough for creating these, truly darling, tablescapes that any bride would love!

Romantic Blush and Teal Editorial

When you look at this editorial shoot, you can’t help but feel like you’re daydreaming! This romantic look has a fairy-tale feel, without too much glitz and glamour. Instead, this garden setting is reminiscent of an actual castle, and antique finds add simple charm. Complete with white hydrangeas and weeping willows, you’ll forget that this site is just outside of Washington, DC.

To complement this natural setting, JoAnna Dee Weddings styled this inspiration shoot with soft blush and teal hues. Drawing inspiration from the bride’s blush gown, the invitations and day-of paper were also kept sweet and simple. A big thanks to Amelia Johnson Photography for helping us capture this magical day!
