Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday where families and friends gather together to remember the lives of the loved ones they have lost. The three day event (October 31st-November 2nd) is rich with cultural tradition and is not as somber as the name might suggest. Bright marigolds and intricately designed sugar skulls make the perfect backdrop for an autumn celebration.
