We are always connected. From the moment we wake up to the moment we fall asleep, we’re caught up in a flurry of communication in the form of texts, likes, and comments. Some people see this as a good thing: being able to reach out to anyone at any time is pretty incredible. Others could do without the constant contact: it’s easy to get too caught up in our virtual lives. This debate is an incredibly hot topic and has quickly made it’s way into the wedding world.
To hashtag or not to hashtag? That is the question.
Today we’re bringing you the pro’s and con’s of asking your guests to Instagram at your wedding. Where do you stand on the issue?

I’m All About the Hashtags
The Upside: You get a free curated photo album of unique and special moments from your big day that you probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise.
The Drawback: Your guests can get distracted by their phones and might not fully enjoy the evening that you spent so long planning.

Let’s Party Like It’s 1999
The Upside: You get to control the photos that are released into the world (no unflattering candids!) and you’re guests can get a chance to unplug and relax after a long week.
The Drawback: If people choose to post pictures anyway, there is no way to track them down if you don’t follow all of your guests.
