Trend Alert: Translucent Touches!

New trends are popping up everywhere after the 2017 weddings finally came to a close.  One of the trends that we are most excited about are the acrylic pieces! Anything from the invitations, clear tents, wall to ceiling windows, and clear tables. People want a clear clean design and thats what translucent pieces have to offer.

Everyone wants their invitation to stand out, having a acrylic invitation is definitely a way to do so!

Hanging escort cards are becoming more and more popular, but adding the acrylic aspect is definitely going to be on trend!

The added modern look with the classic gold calligraphy is a stunning look!

Get your cocktail on!

Beautifully presented drinks your reception is always the way to go! We love signature drinks, and they can even help with the cost of things! Create a two signature drinks, one for the bride and one for the groom. If you’re having severs, they can be passing the drinks on trays and that will make them stand out even more! It can also help with bar lines. Pick a signature drink that reflects you and your partners personality, it should be a representation of you both!

Having a sign display with the drinks so your guest can see what drinks you are offering!

Spice up your glasses by adding a salt or sugar rim, depending on the drink and some fun colored ice cubes to tie it all together!

Garnishes are everything and these glasses are spectacular, adding texture is definitely a plus! Adding a cocktail card will be helpful for the guest so they know what is being served.

Real Wedding Wednesday: Westbury Manor Ethereal Garden Escapade

Today’s Real Wedding finds us at Westbury Manor in Long Island, New York, where Rachel and Charles (Cap) exchange vows surrounded by sophisticated foliage of the venue’s outdoor garden. Throughout the ceremony, rich shades of greenery juxtapose tastefully with its classical counterpart in white, but not without subtle tweaks to the traditional palette that make this wedding all the more intimate! Additional hues of blush and airy blues leave the couple and loved ones faces fresh and absolutely aglow against the landscape’s outstanding elegance! Of course, none of this would be visible to us without the lovely Cadence Kennedy, who expertly captured moments from this eventful escapade to leave us in silent awe and satisfaction.

Pantone Color of 2018: Ultra Violet

With just a few more days until we ring in the new year, we also welcome a new color of the year for 2018! Drum roll please….. Ultra Violet! Pantone released this color saying that it was “dramatically provocative and thoughtful shade of purple”. There are so many fun and creative ways to incorporate color into weddings I’m sure the planners will have so much fun with this color!

Featured Below: Weddingomania

Add a fun signature drink at your reception and spice them up a little by having the rims dipped in sugar. Also, this gold tray is gorgeous!

Use the Ultra Violet color in your table setting! Instead of covering everything in purple, choose places where it can stand out, like the napkins, flowers or cutlery!

Incorporate the Ultra Violet color to your wedding cake!

Last but not least, your shoes! Having your shoes in Ultra Violet a great way to make the color stand out while still being subtle!

We are looking forward to seeing what the 2018 brides and planners do to incorporate this color into their wedding! Be sure to follow us at The Dandelion Patch on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter

Since their first year together at University of Virginia’s School of Law and through years of work at Washington, D.C. after graduation, Lucie and Nick finally wed under looming serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains at Mount Ida Farm. The luscious outdoors gave a brightening overcast in the presence of the bridesmaids’ dusty blue palette.
