Real Wedding Wednesday: Westin Georgetown Hotel Blush and Sage Soiree

It’s that time again: Real Wedding Wednesday! Today’s couple is Libby and Elliot, who just celebrated their love with a gorgeous Georgetown wedding. Their love story is just as sweet as their blush and sage color scheme. Elliot proposed to Libby on his birthday to ensure he would surprise her, while she was planning a surprise party for his birthday! These two decided to tie the knot at the Westin Georgetown Hotel. Libby’s stunning bouquet was created by our close friendor Floral and Bloom! The Patchettes loved using the couple’s custom monogram to create a simple and elegant wedding suite for their special day. No surprise here, they had a simply beautiful day!

We loved working with this team of absolutely awesome vendors for Libby and Elliot’s special day. Everyone here at The Dandelion Patch wishes them a lifetime of delight and suprises!

Featured: Grey Likes Musical Romance Inspiration

Working on this inspiration shoot was one of the highlights of our summer, especially with the honor of being featured on Grey Likes Weddings! Any time we get to work with our friendors is such a good time, especially when the product turns out to be this gorgeous! Bonnie Sen Photography and Bright Occasions created the concept of a musically-inspired styled shoot to capture the essence of a romantic summer wedding. Petals by the Shore set the stage for a beautiful backdrop with their choice of lush soft colored blooms. The Patchettes put together this wedding suite with a soft blush watercolor detail and gold lettering with an overall European influence. We can practically hear the piano music now!

We absolutely adored working with this talented group of friendors and can’t wait to make more magic with them in the future!

Millennial Pink: Think Pink, Think Trendy

Millennial pink: the color everyone is talking about! But what is it exactly? The experts will often disagree when it comes to this shade, as it can be referring to anything from blush to a hint of bubblegum pink. From Pantone’s Color of the Year in 2016 being named Rose Quartz to the launch of the rose gold iPhone, our consumer world has brought this shade into its current spotlight. You’ve seen it on Instagram in every form: food, hair, clothes, and just about everything else. But here’s our little secret: millennial pink is just as timeless as it is trendy. This shade, which really does cross a broad spectrum, can be incorporated into your wedding in so many different ways. Still not sold on the idea of being a blushing pink bride? Check out some of the many ways brides are using millennial pink in their weddings below! And don’t forget, the Patchettes are always excited to use pink in your wedding paper too!

Pretty in Pastel Pink

Pink is certainly the “it” color right now! From fashion to weddings, everything is pretty in pastel pink. It’s literally flooding our feeds. Not that we’re complaining! Who doesn’t love a pretty pink planner? Or, a blush wedding palette? It’s a classic and flattering color, making it a great pick for any bride. This trend is likely a result of Pantone naming rose quartz as one of their Colors of the Year, meaning this trend is likely to stick too! If you’re thinking pink, here’s some inspiration that we love:
