Iron Gate: We are over the moon!

Happy Wednesday, we are to thrilled that we get to feature Dana and Phil’s wedding today! Their custom laser cut to match the Iron Gate was by far one of our favorite projects! She said she’d never date a coworker and he said he wouldn’t fall for an American girl, and boy are we glad they were both wrong. We are also so thankful that the amazing Bonnie Sen was there to capture the whole thing! Check out the wedding below!

Floral hoops are also a new trend, they can add depth to your reception and also are a great accent piece behind the bride and grooms table!

Socks are one of those clothing items that typically go unnoticed, but once realized can let people understand that you are always down to start a trend!

In consideration of dropping temperatures, we suggest wearing a wool waistcoat along with your choice of floral, just to give it that quality autumn look.

White with saturated darker hues, such as the deep red rose patterning pictured above lets us indulge in romantic wintry vibes!

Dark patterned floral works well too, especially fitting of current seasons!

Simple things such as switching out that plain, single-colored pocket square for a fancier one of floral patterning are really all you have to do to make your outfit more exciting!

Some of you may also want to consider a mash-up version of the boutonniere and pocket square!

How to: Personalize Your Classic White Bouquet

Bouquets are one of those wedding essentials that typically get at least one photo feature all by themselves, so we deem it a pretty important visual element. The classic greenery-and-white elegance motif continues to trend as a popular motif for many lucky couples’ weddings, with their breath of fresh simplicity and quiet charm. Not only so, we also find it lovable as a flexible floral palette, as it is able to retain its delightful qualities while graciously integrating other characteristics that are brought in as a result of adjustments made to the original arrangement. Below are a few sample bouquets we’ve collected to show what we mean by this flexibility. It’s truly a wonder just how much voice and personality the classic bouquet can come to embody with the most subtle of manipulations!

Featured Below: Ruffled

Mix-‘n-matching is a great place to start! A generous blend of white blooms and greenery and can say a number of things about your wedding, depending on the type of florals and foliage you select as well as the balance of color tones!

Featured Below: Grey Likes Weddings

To all our gorgeous gals out there prepping for a winter wedding – nothing says “winter” more than sparse scatterings of berry clusters! And white roses are simply too romantic!

Featured Below: Southern California Bride

As we had mentioned earlier, you’d be surprised at how well subtle adjustments to the white bouquet speak to specific environments or event atmospheres. Faint washes of blush or peach are the ultimate bouquet to an elegant winery or vineyard wedding!

Featured Below: Style Me Pretty

Single-bloom collections make excellent wedding bouquets as well! Sometimes it’s better to embrace the minimalism – that alone sets you apart!

Featured Below: MODwedding

While we’re on the topic of single-bloom bouquets, this one is made up of the baby’s-breath plant (sometimes interchangeably described as its scientific genus name “gypsophila”). Compared to the previous bouquet of peonies, we felt as if this one spoke a completely different language. What are your thoughts?

Feature Below: Wedding Wire

But if you’re feeling a bit tight and smushed from all the subtlety we’ve been advocating, know that it’s also okay to take things a (small) step further and mix in a single bold color. For the winter season we recommend burgundy or wine for the serious “pop” effect in your otherwise classic white bouquet!

Let your blooms inspire a palette for the rest of the visuals for your celebration! We would love to work with you to create your stationary aesthetic! (For references of our work, be sure to check out our pretty paper gallery on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter!) The end product will be simply stunning – we can’t wait to see it come to life!

Floral Fanatics: The Fall-fitted Bride

Normally you’d expect the floral trend season to bloom in the springtime, when the bees are buzz-buzzing and the birds chip-chirping. But we wanted to try something different! Instead of subconsciously sinking into cooler, more desaturated values right alongside the dropping temperatures – as heaters, one by one, roar into action and simply being outdoors grows less appealing day by day – we’ve decided that this is the perfect season to don the floral aesthetic! We find the rich autumnal palette around us utterly irresistible – all the more reason to collaborate with these colors for an equally irresistible floral-patterned gown for the special day! P.S. – Dear grooms, we guarantee you’ll find it impossible to tear your gaze away once your bride steps out in full flower power!

Featured Below: Jeremy Boyer Photography

Although going sleeveless (in the outdoors) might not be the wisest decision at this time of the year, we love the loosely embellished floral bodice and the rich teal of this bride skirt! The vibrant blue-green tone would give just the right amount of pop against the warm tones of your surroundings.

We simply can’t get over these sheer but brilliantly floral-covered elbow-length bubble sleeves! The velvet ribbon at her waist is a must-have too, because who doesn’t like velvet?

It might look conservative from the front, but subtle surprises like these not only show off your beautiful figure but are also just plain fun!

The delicate lace detailing of roses and tiny bursts of red blooms on this dress complement each other so well!

Take advantage of your bridesmaids! Let their dresses amplify your presence! Who wouldn’t want to show off when you’re wearing such a unique and classy piece?

With an elegant, embroidered collar and floral-lace mid-sleeves, this vintage look will not escape anyone’s eyes!

Trend Alert: One-Tiered Wonders

We’re used to seeing wedding cakes in size “Tall”, in all their three- or four-tier glory. Here, we’ve compiled a series of single-tiered cakes, decorated just as exquisitely – only more petite, and more approachable! Although larger cakes gather attention right away, their smaller alternatives are also extremely impressive, as all of the raw talent of these artists are essentially condensed into one little tier. You’ll be shocked to see just how mind-blowingly ornate and well-crafted these delectable creations can be!

This absolutely irresistable features six layers of chocolate filled with equally chocolatey ganache! Warning: frequent use of “chocolate” as adjective to describe said cake quick to follow.

Golden drips make for a golden wedding, yes?

According to the creator’s description, this cake features purple buttercream paired with turquoise isomalt. Oh, and did we mention it had upside-down drips?
