Trend Alert: Project Parasol

Early history marks the parasol as an item of luxury, an accessory once fit for only the nobility who had servants carry these mobile canopies over their heads as they strolled or lounged under the powerful rays of the summer sun. Today, parasols continue its existence fulfilling purposes of sun protection, but with the concept of servants mostly extant in modern society – not to mention the production of applicable sunscreen lotion that is, comparably, much less burdensome – parasols have once again struck favor with an area of luxury and pleasantness today: the wedding industry! However, instead of allowing the parasol to stay in its line of work as an effective sun-blocking agent, people have broken convention to find creative ways of integrating this picturesque, light-weight accessory into their planned celebration! Today, we bring you project parasol: a project with potential, a party of perfection!

Trend Alert: Bright Floral Paper!

Trend Alert! A lot is happing in the wedding world, which means new paper trends too! Neutrals have been huge in the last few years. I’m sure we’ve all been to a blush and beige wedding or two. Well, things are spicing up! There’s going to be a lot more color in weddings and paper. This means a lot more pattern, primarily floral, on the invitations itself. Last year, the envelope liners had all the fun! Now, fun-colored florals are taking center stage!

Botanical Beauties

Botanical invitations are one of our favorite pretty paper looks! These beauties are so soft and romantic. They’re perfect if you’re planning a spring wedding. At the same time, a few darker hues like navy make them versatile enough to use year round. To really wow guests, we recommend saving your floral prints for the envelope liner. It’s an extra special surprise as you open the invitation. This concept also allows you to keep the invitation design simple but still have a pop of color and pattern! Here are a few examples – don’t forget to pin them on Pinterest!

Flower Crown Favorites

Flower crowns started as a very indie trend that was mostly popular with boho brides. Now, flower crowns are becoming more and more mainstream. This trend has also maintained popularity through every season, proving it’s here to stay. Sorry summer – winter flower crowns are the new and improved take on this look! They’re cranberry filled and flawless in burgundy hues. Here are a few of our favorites for your winter wonderland wedding!

A Botanical Blush Editorial

What’s not to love about blush peonies and a pear-cut engagement ring? Seriously! We’re so proud of this understated and timeless wedding look from our styled shoot this summer. From the vintage stamps to the pink macaroons, our pretty paper has never looked better! Our dear friend and photographer Astrid helped us to capture every angle of our invitations, and we couldn’t be happier. We also had the pleasure of partnering with planner Kaitlin Przezdziecki of Cheers Darling Events on this editorial feature at the Salamander Resort in charming Middleburg, Virginia. We can’t thank her enough for creating these, truly darling, tablescapes that any bride would love!
