Monday Funday: Oreo Themed!

Happy Monday everyone, we hope you enjoyed your weekend and are ready for a productive work week! So, apparently on March 6th is national Oreo day.  Today for our blog we are going to be talking about black and white themed weddings and all the puns that come along with it! “Oreo going to be at my wedding?” “Oreo going to the wedding”

Have your ladies be dressed in black beside you, then you stand out even more than you already will!

Want a white dress but black access pieces? Have a jacket made so that all the colors are incorporated!

If you don’t want a cake but you still need a dessert bar this is perfect, and super cute!

Real Wedding Wednesday: D.C. Hay-Adams Hotel Cityscape Appreciation

This happy couple found their way up to the top of the Hay-Adams Hotel of Washington, D.C. to officialize and celebrate their new marriage status! With a simple, monochromatic wedding palette, they kept the overall aesthetic of their reception classy and concise, bedecked with elegant floral pieces that only enhanced the pleasant atmosphere! But wait – we haven’t mentioned the best part! The D.C. Hay-Adams Hotel is known for the  spectacular view it offers, one that includes the White House and other monumental structures. Thanks to Roman Grinev Photography, this eventful evening and its magical cityscape views had been captured on film for all to enjoy!

And last but not least, we’ve got to send a special shout-out to all the members of our vendor-friendor team for contributing such skills and talents to Kristen and Jarrod’s happy ending (or beginning)!

Real Wedding Wednesday: Belle Haven Country Club Merry in Monochrome

This week’s Real Wedding Wednesday brings you the tasteful black-and-white themed wedding ceremony of Lindsey and KJ! While already captivating in their elegantly juxtaposed attire – pleasantly matched with white and green bouquets and boutonnieres – the lovebirds made no attempt to conceal their abounding exuberance as they exchanged vows in the presence of friends and family. The Patchettes were able to contribute accordingly with the monochrome theme, providing a simple, classy paper suite for the entire event. The reception took place later that day at the Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria. As brought to us by the talents of our friendor, Rodney Bailey, both newlyweds and their guests enjoyed the rest of the evening with a live band, a spacious dance floor, perhaps some cigars, and even a surprise birthday celebration!

It was absolutely delightful to work with this lovely team of friendors; and to Lindsey and KJ, we wish you the most merry path forward!

Real Wedding Wednesday: Willard InterContinental Cream, Rose, and Gold Wedding

Another Real Wedding Wednesday is upon us! Today’s gorgeous couple is Taylor and John, college sweethearts who decided to celebrate their union at the Willard InterContinental Hotel for a D.C. Wedding. The Patchettes designed their cream, rose, and gold wedding suite with the lily of the valley wreath surrounding their monogram for the perfect touch of elegance and sentiment. The lily of the valley was carried into the bride’s bouquet, designed by our friendor Amarylis, Inc. The rest of the details from their stunning day can be seen below, through the photography skills of our friend Abby Jiu Photography!

Ciao, Baby! We absolutely adored working with this talented team of vendors, and wish Taylor and John a lifetime filled with love and laughter.

Real Wedding Wednesday: Heather & Jeff

Heather and Jeff planned the most magical New Year’s Eve wedding in Washington, D.C.  It had all the glitz and glamour that you could need to ring in the new year! This couple was amazing to work with, and we loved the sparkling invitations they picked with our Patchettes! The gold shimmer really matched the luxury of the whole wedding, which was expertly captured by Mary Kate Battles and Jennifer Heffner for Mary Kate McKenna Photography. The day also went incredibly smoothly, thanks to our dear friends at A Sweet Soiree Events. Cheers to the newlyweds!

Real Wedding Wednesday: Katherine & Jeffrey

Katherine & Jeffrey’s wedding, planned by Tabitha Roberts of Roberts & Co. Events, was recently the first wedding to be held in the Trump International Hotel in DC. We were super excited to get a glimpse inside, and we certainly weren’t disappointed! The hotel’s gallery wall made a beautiful backdrop for the couple’s ceremony. To complement the venue, Katherine and Jeff incorporated lots of gold in to their wedding plans. We loved creating their sparkling signage and day-of paper in gold. The Patchettes also designed their DC skyline place cards!

Congratulations to these lovely newlyweds! We’re also giving our photographer friends at  Lovestruck Images a round of applause for having these photos featured on the Washingtonian website. We really can’t thank Lovestruck enough for sharing these shots with us too! What a magnificent day!

Real Wedding: John & Steve

John and Steve’s Virginia wedding was unbelievably beautiful without being too flashy. We loved their black and white theme. It’s perfectly simple, but they also kept it interesting with unique patterns. Planner Kelley Cannon Events did a fabulous job with this wedding, and Lisa Blume Photography captured it with style. Thanks so much for making our pretty paper a big star of the day!

Real Wedding Wednesday: Jess & Gene

What’s black, white, and yellow all over? Jess and Gene’s themed wedding, featuring a penguin in a bow tie! This darling, animal-lover couple held their big day at the Maryland Zoo. We loved every detail of this animal-filled day, planned by Ella & Christina. Bride Jess provided us with her own graphic, and we had a blast creating these unique invitations and table numbers. It just goes to show that every client’s needs are completely different, and we love being able to make any wish come true! Thank you Ethan Yang Photography for capturing our pretty paper and every penguin from Jess and Gene’s wedding day!
