Small Business Saturday: Georgetown Edition

Small Business Saturday is the perfect opportunity to get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping AND support local, small businesses. We are proud to be participating again this year and are offering a buy two, get one free deal on our boxed holiday cards!

In honor of Small Business Saturday we are sharing some of our favorite neighborhood businesses with you! We shared our guides to Reston and Vienna earlier this week. That leaves us with the corner of DC we call home: Georgetown. We have loved getting to know our district customers and enjoy being in such an iconic location. While we are surrounded by wonderful businesses, these are a couple of our favorites:

Sherman Pickey

Sherman Pickey is one of our favorite places to shop for classic clothing with a modern edge. Located in DC’s preppiest neighborhood, Sherman Pickey carries derby staples like Lilly Pulitzer and Jack Rogers alongside trendier brands like Bonobos and Nicole Miller. Now through December 20th they are hosting an Angela & Roi pop-up shop! If you weren’t sold already, the name was inspired by the owners’ pets!

Baked & Wired

Georgetown is full of so many delicious options for sweet treats, most notably the cupcake! While a certain well-known shop has claimed the name, Baked & Wired is the true Georgetown cupcake shop in our eyes, having been a neighborhood icon since 2001. If you aren’t in the mood for a cupcake, they have a wide-ranging selection of pies, brownies, biscotti, and espresso drinks. But who are we kidding, we’re always in the mood for a cupcake!
