Destination Dreaming

What better excuse is there to escape the cold weather than to have a destination wedding? Many tropical locations are great (and safer weather-wise) to travel to during the U.S. winter months. Which is why I’ve pulled together a few ideas for those of you who have sunny days and tropical breezes on their minds! Enjoy!

1. Have a local guide ready for your guests. Attendees for your destination wedding will most likely be unfamiliar with the local spots. Including a list of some sort with a variety of attractions or restaurants will surely be appreciated and will also keep guests from trying to personally contact you for suggestions.

2. Let your wedding paper reflect your getaway! Don’t be afraid to dazzle your guest and build anticipation for your big day. Want to use fuchsia during the winter? Go for it. Not to mention it will help keep warm thoughts in your mind until it’s finally time to say “I do”.

3. Give travel-inspired favors to add a personal touch! Engraved bottles with seashells from your destination or simple luggage tags are perfect mementos that can double as “thank you’s” to your guests.

Happy destination dreaming!
