Business Card Basics

One of the best parts about working at The Dandelion Patch is getting to see all types of pretty paper. In addition to our love for weddings, we also have a huge place in our hearts for corporate paper. From gold foil to blind embossing, we are suckers for business cards. But don’t be fooled by their beauty, all of our business cards are practical as well. Want to know what you include on your card? Checkout these basics tips below for creating your perfect business card!

1. Keep things simple. Avoid cluttering the card with too many fonts or colors because it will take away from the information on the card. If you are worried about including too much information, use the back of the card to separate the text.

2. Paper quality matters. A business card may be the first impression people will have of you or your business. Which means, don’t have cards that appear to be less than professional. Invest in a nice ply of paper. In addition, make sure it is a paper than people can write on. People often make notes on them to  remember the person that gave it to them.

3. Have one element stand out. This is the easiest way for your card to be remembered, especially when exchanging at a social situation. Add color, a fun design, or even a catchy phrase, just remember not to go overboard by adding all of these elements.

Business cards are essential for making an outstanding first impression. Keep these basics in mind, remember to smile and happy networking!
