Wedding
Etiquette Tea with Anna Post
Sunday, March 22nd from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Bazin's on Church ~ Vienna, Virginia
Anna Post talks to brides, members of the bridal party and family
members about how to handle difficult moments during wedding planning,
and how to incorporate classic points of etiquette for a new
generation. From invitation wording to thank-you note tips, Anna offers
insights that will keep brides sane and their mothers nodding in
approval. And, whether it's the future mother-in-law who insists on
hosting a rehearsal dinner that's more formal than the wedding
reception, a maid of honor who won't return the bride's calls, or
perhaps a bride with a wee bit of a control problem, Anna offers
helpful advice about how to handle emotional interactions with those
around you leading up to the big day. Relationship landmines abound on
the way to the altar, and Anna's words of wisdom will arm brides with
the tools they need to smooth the way.

Confessions of a Customer
|
|
|
In between shuttling her
two children to swim team practice and other activities, Cindy Smith
takes time to visit The Dandelion Patch in Reston Town Center to shop
for invitations, stationery, and gifts for every occasion - "I use
you guys for everything!"
Cindy was first introduced to The Dandelion Patch two
years ago, and has been a regular customer ever since. Once Cindy
develops a theme for her kids' birthday parties, she visits The
Dandelion Patch to order corresponding invitations with cute wording and
fun fonts. "I'm not into the 'Evite' trend...I'm a little more
traditional," she says.
Sending personalized holiday cards allows Cindy to connect
to friends and family in a traditional way as well. Every September,
Cindy has a professional photographer take her Christmas card photo at
the beach. She later pays a visit to The Dandelion Patch to find the
perfect card and wording to match her photo. "These days, people
are cutting back, but I want to reach out to people at that time of
year," Cindy says.
Cindy also comes to us whenever she's in search of the
'perfect gift.' Whether it's a spa package for a girlfriend's 40th
birthday, or a hand-painted wine glass for a wine-loving friend, Cindy
says "you always seem to have the right thing for every event."
Most recently, when Cindy and her family took a trip to Martha's
Vineyard and stayed with friends, Cindy brought her hosts a beautiful
lighthouse-shaped pewter serving dish by Mariposa, echoing the
landscape of the island.
With the spring and summer party seasons quickly
approaching, we hope to see even more of Cindy at The Dandelion Patch!
