Confessions of a Customer | | While
browsing through The Knot magazine, bride-to-be Kate
Dearing came across information on the best wedding
invitation vendors in the area and noticed The Dandelion
Patch. After seeing other customers' reviews online, she
decided this would be the perfect place to design her
invitations and called to make an appointment.
Kate came in for her appointment with ideas in terms
of colors and custom artwork that she wanted to
incorporate into her invitation design, but was open
to ideas from the team at The Dandelion Patch. After
looking through several books for inspiration,
Penelope helped her find a design through the vendor
Spark which would have design work on the printed
pieces that complimented her custom artwork which
was printed on a pocket folder. Not only was
Penelope there to find the perfect invitation, "she
took the time to look at my wording, figure out the
size and placement of all of the cards included, and
pick out the perfect font and color". Kate admits
she was nervous since "we were creating the entire
thing basically from scratch" and also being an out
of town bride through the entire process, but says
"they turned out more beautiful then I could
imagine".
Kate does admit, as we often tell
our customers, picking out invitations can be a
pretty overwhelming process. However, "The Dandelion
Patch has the staff and the resources to make
something incredible". We love Kate's spirit and how
special and unique her invitations came out! Even
though she may be in New York now, we hope to
complete her wedding stationery wardrobe with
matching programs, placecards and more. Katie, we
wish you the best of luck in your new home and
upcoming wedding!
